Every article captured by the Clipping Hunter press archive in the 90-day window, published by outlets of the study's country. The outlet's country comes from the Clipping Hunter outlet master, not from the domain.
Each sector has a fixed set of brands per country (18 to 25), searched with exact phrases and homonym exclusions. An article with two brands counts for both; that is why “% of sector” can add up to more than 100.
A brand is the subject when it appears in the headline or the URL. Anything else is an incidental mention.
The weekly trend is computed only on outlets with articles in at least 11 of the 13 weeks, so an outlet entering or leaving the archive cannot fake a trend.
Rule-based classification on headline and URL: commercial, tutorial, opinion, interview, results, launch.
No tone or sentiment. No central-versus-incidental distinction inside the body. No grouping by media group. Each study states it in its sheet.
